wacka2 says:

lol sure you can , why not pay hundreds for a lens and then put a 2 cent , factory produced glass bottle in the way .
Itll be fine.

Which CPL brand you used?

What tripod are you using?

GREAT advice!! I never really thought about the focal length affecting the ‘even-ness’ of the sky beyond the 24mm-ish range… Thanks! Excellent tip.

For some reason I knew you were in Colorado. The building looked familiar in the vid. Thanks for this video.

Can I Use Polarizer for outdoor Night Photography sir ??

shotbystillman says:

Nice example. For people on DX cameras don’t forget that due to the crop factor you can pull out to around 16mm… If you need wider than that it’s time for a ND Grad.

Thanks for the video. This is by far the best tutorial on CPL that I have come across with. When others teach using your fingers as gun (“the barrel and hammer approach”), your visual is spot on (heck, I even had to bing the parts of a gun to know which is barrel and hammer).

The panning of the camera in your video to show how CPL can make the sky uneven, or at wide angle is also a million times better than blogs demonstrating them through pictures.

Thank you for the effort.

Jason Odell says:

of course you can. Just beware that depending on the shot, you may get strange effects on skin if people are wearing makeup.
