I love the ruler idea! I have the Raynox M-250 snap on Macro Lens…about 50 bucks…GREAT accessory for macro work!

Media4Productions says:

Thank you kindly for your helpful reply, I shall try what you have suggested.

supportren says:

I don’t know, as few lens seems to work better than other in reversed condition. I guess big aperture normal or medium tele may work better as you have more light to see , focus and then stop down and shoot. Try several lenses and see which one may work best with reverse adapter.

Media4Productions says:

Hi, What mm lens is best for reverse lens, for macro shooting. loved your video, so explanatory. Well put forward young lady. Keep these brilliant videos coming.

why use the ruler - use macro rails 😮

malmonletratista says:

Nice video i believe you for using tripods and camera timer but you can also shoot macros hand held if with enough light.its really nice to use a timer if your subject is not flying or moving around like flowers but how can you go using a ruler for focusing, setting your tripod if the subjects are ants, butterflies, bugs etc.

supportren says:

Yes.

DarkenedTheater says:

Great video! What is that attachment on the 24-70mm @6:28? Is that an extension tube?

Tomáš Celar says:

err… Canon camera with Nikon objective ? 😀

I have watched many videos to learn about Macro photography.. If i would have watched this first, i would know everything i need to know.. great video! easy to understand and follow, and no crazy music either 🙂 Great Job!

Constantin Gabor says:

The new GoPro has no viewfinder – I can do macro photos with a compact Canon that I have. On the video side it’s harder…

supportren says:

Thank you! But you you can use all the concepts that I showed you by placing a magnifying glass in front of your go pro and attaching a ruler to find the distance in which the camera is focused. Then use that setting and you can do your own macro!

nadandnad1 says:

Thank you, well done, you spent time on this video,
Insects are the ideal subjects to get them macro.

Constantin Gabor says:

I love the tips!
I’m also impressed by the amount of work u put in this video. However, all this is so gear dependent that I get frustrated 🙂

Thanks for the upload!
