Hahah – well I mean it as a very good thing I loved Bob Ross!! =)

You know… I’m *still* not sure how to take that! 🙂

Yes! exactly what I was thinking, the Bob Ross of photography, love it. =)

RobHansonPhotography says:

That’s funny, Gingbourdon! Thanks… I think?

You’re certainly not the first to say that. At first I wasn’t sure what to make of it, but then when I thought about how effectively Bob Ross brought painting and art into so many lives, it doesn’t seem like such a bad thing. At least I don’t have big hair.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your comment, salsad. I’m glad you enjoyed the videos.

You don’t need Photoshop to do masking. One option would be Photoshop Elements, a much more affordable solution. To ramp up your skills, take a look at Kim Seng’s tutorials (“Captain Kimo”), as he usually parallels his techniques in both Photoshop and Elements.

You could also get Perfect Layers from OnOne Software. I believe it’s free, and works with Lightroom, Aperture, Photoshop, or as a standalone. Definitely affordable.

The image really came to life in this video. You are very talented. Also, you remind me of Bob Ross a lot.
