Explaining the use of field mixers and inline pads to gain quality audio recordings with DSLR cameras… Inline Pad how-to guide here: www.uneeda-audio.com
I don’t remember dissing videos on youtube anyway :D. if it was me I wouldn’t ask the question above would I? 🙂
thank you for explaining the line/mic level thing. I know it’s basic sense but I’m in the learning phase regarding basics
Yeah, basically mic level is a very low weak signal without amplification. Its as little as is produced by the moving coil in the diafragm of the mic capsule.. a good signal could around 10-15 MILIVOLTS (0.015V). Where LINE signal could be about 0.77V.
In a VERY basic sense… line level has a small amplifier on the output, mic does not.
Check out wikipedia.
Thanks.. The first part of the video was on the external recorder.. then it switched to the camera….. There was NO “cleaver editing” involved… its hard to even hear them swap over!!
Thanks, the video looks great! Was all this audio recorded on the camera? If so this is great. Video looks great too! I hope this video goes 1,000,000.
