In this short tutorial we will stitch together a 360×180 degree equirectangular (or spherical) panorama. Download hugin from: hugin.huikeshoven.org
In this short tutorial I’ll show how to create exposure fusioned images (and HDR along with them) with Hugin. About exposure fusion: research.edm.uhasselt.be “Enfuse merges overlapping images using the Mertens-Kautz-Van Reeth exposure fusion algorithm. This is a quick way to blend differently exposed images into a nice output image, without producing intermediate HDR images that are then tonemapped to a viewable image. This simplified process often works much better than the currently known tonemapping algorithms. Enfuse can also be used to build extended DOF images, by blending a focus stack.”
This is the first in a series of videos on HUGIN panorama maker. In this video we create a standard panorama and go though all the steps to do so. This is a freeware package and is very powerful! The images that it creates are uploadable into Phtoshop, gimp or the photo edior of your choice.
